We don't require an account to use PassTheCoin.com. The data we handle is limited to:

• Preference cookies - your theme (day/night), text size, auto-refresh interval, and your watchlist code (so the site remembers your watchlist without you re-entering it).
• Watchlist data - the list of coins you choose to track, stored against your 10-character watchlist code. We don't ask for or store any personal information to create a watchlist.
• Basic server logs - standard web server logs (IP address, requested page, timestamp) kept for security and abuse prevention (e.g. rate limiting), and periodically purged.

2. What we don't collect

We don't require your name, email, or any account credentials to use the core features of this site. We don't sell your data.

3. Third parties

Price data is retrieved from CoinGecko. This site may also display ads served by third-party ad networks, which may use cookies to personalize the ads you see. You can control ad personalization through your browser or the ad network's own opt-out tools.

4. Cookies

Cookies used on this site are functional (remembering your preferences and watchlist code) and, if ads are enabled, advertising-related. You can clear cookies at any time through your browser settings; this will reset your preferences and you'll need to re-enter your watchlist code to find it again.

5. Data retention

Watchlist data persists until you delete it or it becomes inactive for an extended period, at which point it may be automatically removed.

6. Your rights

Because we don't hold accounts or personal profiles, most data we hold about your usage is either in your own browser (cookies) or tied to a watchlist code only you have. Deleting your watchlist (available on the watchlist page) removes that data.
